When is the next Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha? The beloved Delta Force series is on its way back with Delta Force Hawk Ops. Deemed the “next generation of Delta Force”, the upcoming game combines classic campaigns with new ones, as well as a range of multiplayer modes.

The Delta Force Hawk Ops release date is still a way away, but that doesn’t mean you can’t get a look at the latest installment in the classic FPS game series before then. Despite still being in the alpha stage of development, developer Team Jade is inviting some players to try out the free PC game already. Read on to find out how to get your hands on the latest Delta Force Hawk Ops playtest.

Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha dates

The current Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha test went live on Tuesday, August 6, and doesn’t currently have an end date.

Players must be invited to the alpha to play, but there are a few ways to gain access. While the Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha doesn’t include access to the Black Hawk Down campaign remake, or any single-player modes for that matter, you can jump in to the game’s two primary multiplayer modes.

In Hazard Operation, deploy with two other players and a pre-selected loadout to find and extract with valuable loot and resources. Naturally, you’ll be going against other player teams, but you should keep your eye out for AT-controlled enemies as well in this PvPvE extraction mode.

All we really want to tell you about Havoc Warfare, meanwhile, is that an official blog post calls it “bombastic”. If that’s not enough to go on, though, this is a huge 32 v 32 mode played on massive maps (two in the alpha), and your goal is to take control of various areas of the map.

How to access the Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha

You can apply for access on the Delta Force Hawk Ops Steam page, the official website, or via Twitch drops on Saturday, August 17.

As you can find out in our dedicated Delta Force Hawk Ops Twitch drops guide, the reward itself, a Steam key for the alpha, does guarantee access. Unlike many Twitch drops, you aren’t guaranteed a key simply by watching due to the limited number of keys available. Check out the guide for the next time the campaign goes live and start watching for your best chance at playing Delta Force Hawk Ops.

You can also head to the Delta Force Hawk Ops Steam store page and click ‘Request Access’ for the Delta Force playtest. By applying this way, you can still only play if and when you get an invite, so keep an eye on your email inbox.

Finally, there’s the official Delta Force website, but this works the same way as the Steam application. You may receive an invite in your inbox, but there are no promises.

We’re keeping everything crossed for you as you try to get access to the Delta Force Hawk Ops alpha. Whether you’re lucky or not, we’ll keep this page updated with future playtests. While you wait, check out some other great upcoming PC games we’re looking forward to, or keep yourself occupied with some other free Steam games available right now.
