What are the best Marvel Snap decks? The latest season of Marvel Snap is here, introducing new cards, variants, and much more to help spruce up the meta. If you’re wondering which existing decks these new cards fit with, or which new meta decks they might create, you’re in the right place.
The Marvel Snap meta is constantly changing. Whether you’re a grizzled veteran well into series four or five, you’re still unlocking deck staples or you’re getting to grips with how all the cards interact in one of the best card games on PC, we’re here to help. We have a list of all the best decks in the Marvel Snap meta currently, followed by the best beginner decks for new players.
Best Marvel Snap decks
For the most part, the best meta decks in Marvel Snap require you to have completed Series 3 and have a significant chunk of Series 4 and Series 5 cards. This is because your options for different deck archetypes open up enormously once you reach this stage, but there are usually one or two alternatives you can use instead for a similar result.
The best decks in current Marvel Snap meta are:
New cards – Young Marvel
- Ant-Man
- Hawkeye
- Maria Hill
- Psylocke
- Squirrel Girl
- Dazzler
- Kate Bishop
- Marvel Boy
- Kazar
- Blue Marvel
- Wiccan
- Mockingbird
This season’s new Young Marvel cards all have great synergy, and you can make a pretty decent deck with Kate Bishop, Wicca, Marvel Boy, and Speed of you so wish, so you could of course switch Speed out in the deck above. You’re not going to have all the cards in this deck right away, but there are plenty of one and two-cost cards that could swap in easily. Essentially, the idea of this card is to play multiple cards as much as possible, and increase the value of those cards as you go.
Wong
- Ravonna Renslayer
- Psylocke
- Zabu
- Magik
- Ironheart
- Venom
- Mystique
- Wong
- White Tiger
- Black Panther
- Arnim Zola
- Odin
The big problem with this deck is that it can be countered by a Shang-Chi or Enchantress, among others, but most decks can be countered if you’re unlucky. When this work, it works great, so it can be worth the risk. What’s more, there are multiple options, even if you’re left with playing a simple Ironheart, Wong, White Tiger, Odin at one location, you could still take the win, but your early game cards are in there to boost things even more, and dropping Magik instead of Ironheart can allow you to either play Ironheart after Wong, or Black Panther and White Tiger together. The same goes for Psylocke – though only play her in round 2 if Wong is already in your hand.
Ultron Patriot
- Wasp
- Misty Knight
- Squirrel Girl
- Dazzler
- Shocker
- Mystique
- Patriot
- Brood
- Cyclops
- Blue Marvel
- Onslaught
- Ultron
We’ve been utterly destroyed by this deck or similar quite a few times recently, so here it is, the Ultron Patriot. The base combo of cards here has been in the meta for a long time, and essentially your goal is just to increase the power of multiple cards multiple times, devastating your opponent in the final few turns.
Move
- America Chavez
- Iron Fist
- Nightcrawler
- Forge
- Kraven
- Doctor Strange
- Hulk Buster
- Multiple Man
- Cloak
- Vulture
- Vision
- Heimdall
This is a classic, but with Vulture being a great card, it never gets old. What’s more, since it’s so old, it doesn’t get used very much any more, and people won’t expect to see it in the current meta. There are a lot of options here, so you shouldn’t be too restricted by an unlucky draw – just remember to prepare for Heimdall on the last turn. If you don’t draw it, the low cost of your other cards leaves you with other options.
Destroy
- Deadpool
- Nova
- Bucky Barnes
- Carnage
- Wolverine
- Hulk Buster
- Killmonger
- Venom
- Deathlok
- Shang-Chi
- Knull
- Death
Destroy decks seem to be among the most resilient Marvel Snap decks, appearing frequently regardless of the current meta. With the Deadpool season now live, we’re seeing even more of a surge in the destroy meta given Deadpool’s own power.
Hela Discard
- America Chavez
- Blade
- Lady Sif
- Dracula
- Jubilee
- Black Cat
- Blink
- Hela
- Magneto
- Giganto
- The Infinaut
- Death
Hela is still a strong favorite in the current meta – and every meta, at that. This is a classic Hela deck, making the most of some of the highest value cards available. As always with Hela, the risk comes in discarding Hela by mistake, but you have Dracula, The Infinaut, and Death to counter that if needed.
Zola
- Kitty Pryde
- Forge
- Hulk Buster
- Magik
- Hope Summers
- Shuri
- Wong
- Taskmaster
- Black Panther
- Vision
- Arnim Zola
- Odin
The idea behind this deck is getting something to a large body before feeding it to either Arnim Zola or Taskmaster. For example, you can build up Kitty Pryde, put her through Shuri, and then have Taskmaster copy her. You can then put Vision through Shuri and move him to an empty position before Arniming him. By moving Wong through Black Panther and Arnim twice, and then moving Odin onto Arnim when you’re in limbo, you can make a giant Black Panther through Wong and Shuri and then Taskmastering him. Hope exists to have extra flexibility and add spare power, but if she’s in the same place as a card you want to duplicate, she can prove troublesome, so be careful.
Best Marvel Snap beginner decks
These beginner Marvel Snap decks exclusively use cards that you start the game with and those in Pool 1, which is from collection levels 18-214 in the card game. There are many cards to choose from with these parameters. If there are any you’re missing in your chosen deck list, you’re early enough in the game that replacing a few of them won’t ruin the deck’s playstyle too much.
Beginner On-Reveal deck
- Nightcrawler
- Elektra
- Ant-Man
- Medusa
- Star Lord
- Groot
- Ironheart
- Wolfsbane
- White Queen
- Gamora
- White Tiger
- Odin
This Pool 1 deck focuses mainly on On-Reveal abilities, which are effects that happen as soon as you play the card. Once again, Odin is the show’s star, while Gamora and Ironheart are also vital inclusions.
Beginner Ongoing deck
- Ant-Man
- Nightcrawler
- Lizard
- Iron Man
- Colossus
- Sentinel
- Mister Fantastic
- Captain America
- Blue Marvel
- The Punisher
- Klaw
- Spectrum
On the flip side of the On-Reveal deck, this Ongoing decklist focuses on effects that are constantly happening when that card is in play. Blue Marvel and Devil Dinosaur share the spotlight, or if you’re lucky enough to get extra energy or the Limbo location, which grants a turn seven, you can get both in play at once.
