Is Black Myth Wukong on Game Pass? Game Science’s upcoming ARPG will soon reach our screens, offering up what we hope will be one of 2024’s best games. We already know that Black Myth Wukong is slated for a PC and (albeit delayed) Xbox platform launch, which of course prompts the all-important question as to whether we’ll get to enjoy it for no extra cost on Game Pass.

As the Black Myth Wukong release date is just around the corner, it will have already been revealed if the new PC game will join the ranks of the best Game Pass games on the subscription service – at least, on day one. With that being said, it’s time to stop yapping and start dishing out the deets on Black Myth Wukong and its Game Pass future (if it has one).

Is Black Myth Wukong on Game Pass?

Game Science currently has no plans to bring Black Myth Wukong to Game Pass. At no point during the game’s marketing has Game Pass been confirmed, and with the game’s pre-orders having already gone live it’s unlikely that the developer will change tact this late into the pre-release cycle.

That’s not to say Black Myth Wukong will never come to Game Pass. After all, there are plenty of incredible third-party ARPGs that make their way onto the service down the line. For example, Lords of the Fallen was added several months after its October 2023 launch. This move proved fruitful, as Game Pass subs were treated to the most complete version of the game after developer Hexworks had spent all that time making major improvements.

Even if Black Myth Wukong was confirmed for Game Pass, it still wouldn’t arrive on launch day. At the beginning of June, Game Science confirmed that it had delayed the Xbox version: “We are currently optimizing the Xbox Series X|S version to meet our quality standards, so it won’t release simultaneously with the other platforms,” the studio says in its FAQ. Since then, there’s been no update on when the game will materialize on the platform.

At the very least, if you’re planning to get a new GPU anytime soon then you can nab Black Myth Wukong as a freebie, but only if you’re targeting a mid-high-end 4000 series Nvidia card. Though the Black Myth Wukong system requirements are surprisingly modest for a current-gen game, you can still sort of use it as an excuse to upgrade – treat yourself.

And that’s everything you need to know about Black Myth Wukong on Game Pass for now. Should Game Science and Xbox come to some sort of alternate agreement and bring the RPG game to the service down the line, we’ll be sure to update this guide so you’re the first to know. In the meantime, prepare yourself for a journey to the West by checking out if Black Myth Wukong new game plus has been locked in.
