Canucks lose to unbeaten Sabers – the Athletic

tNa na na na, na na na na, hey hey, goodbye

Yes, you heard that right, Buffalo Sabers fans sang the Vancouver Canucks out of the ice serenade to the hit song from Bananarama Steam, kicking off the surprise season 5 opening of “The Man in the High. Castle “with a bang.

The only thing missing was a follow-up to the hit “Let’s Get It Started” by Nick Webber-Agnew.

An alternate reality is surely the only way to explain how the Sabers became the measuring stick in the NHL, but here we are, the Canucks on the losing side of a 5-2 loss at KeyBank Center.

As “Love Island” is quick to tell you, it’s still early days, so no one should submit their firing or swapping list just yet. However, the annual social media tradition of who is most to blame for the team’s woes, Travis Green or Jim Benning, has started well after the Canucks’ worst effort of the season.

Ryan Biech once again escaped unscathed.

The Canucks, for their part, have yet to give fans and media a chance to find out who they are. They showed many sides of themselves in four different games.

We saw the Canucks explode in the lead. We have seen the fiery return of the Canucks. We saw the Canucks blocked by a goalie. And now we’ve seen the underdogs, where the heck is Kyle Burroughs at the Canucks.
