Norwich City could be tempted to sell Todd Cantwell this summer and Leeds simply need to rekindle their January interest.
Cantwell has helped Norwich get promoted this season, scoring six points and assisting the same amount for Daniel Farke’s men.
Athletic have claimed the Canaries are open for Cantwell for sale this summer, provided the offer is the right one. The same is claimed to apply to both Emi Buendia and Max Aarons.
But it’s the position on Cantwell that should spark the interest of Leeds and Marcelo Bielsa. Reports from January claimed the Whites had maintained a long-term interest in the England Under-21 star.
And with the summer window around the corner and Leeds cementing themselves in the Premier League, Cantwell is the kind of player who can take the club to a new level.
Todd Cantwell perfect for Leeds and their team
With the departure of Pablo Hernandez and Tyler Roberts arguably falling short at this level, there is space in the XI for a player like Todd Cantwell.
The midfielder has the practical talent of appearing in the box at the right time. His finish is also excellent and he proved himself the last time he was in the PL with Norwich, scoring six goals.
Leeds could do with someone in this attacking midfield to give the squad a boost. He is also young enough to provide the energy levels needed to be successful under Marcelo Bielsa.
Norwich is said to be seeking around £ 30million for Cantwell. And to be fair, it could turn out to be a good deal if Leeds could get the kind of performances and more from the Canaries ace.
