Kanye West, Trump supporter, hip-hop artist and billionaire entrepreneur, receives help from Republicans in Wisconsin in his bid to participate in the 2020 poll. While many don’t seem to take West’s presidential bid seriously , Republicans are hoping he will attract a significant number of Biden voters and give Trump a much-needed boost.

West is seeking office in Wisconsin, Ohio, Arkansas and West Virginia.

“A Republican source says the goal is for West to get 107,000 votes, as libertarian Gary Johnson did in 2016” Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

At least four people trying to get West’s name on ballots in multiple states have GOP ties, The New York Times reported. West would be listed on the ballot as an independent candidate representing the birthday party.

One of those Republican agents is Mark Jacoby, an executive at a company called Let the Voters Decide, which collected signatures for the Western campaign in three states. Jacoby has a dark past. He has been arrested on electoral fraud charges in 2008 while working for the California Republican Party. He pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor.

Another agent is strategist Gregg Keller. Former executive director of the American Conservative Union, he is listed as contact for the Arkansas campaign. Trump considered Keller for the role of campaign manager in 2015, according to a former campaign official, but the position was filled by Corey Lewandowski.

Then there is Chuck Wilton, who is listed as a delegate to Trump’s convention from Vermont and as a voter for the Western campaign who could potentially vote for the Western Constituency. Wilton and his wife, Wendy, a Trump named at the United States Department of Agriculture, were political supporters Of the president.

Republican election lawyer Lane Ruhland also appears to be rallying with West. Ruhland was seen filing the signatures that would qualify West for his presidential bid in Wisconsin. Ruhland also worked directly for Trump. She recently represented the Trump campaign in his lawsuit aimed at forcing Priorities USA, a Democratic super-PAC, to remove anti-Trump advertising from the airwaves, Vice reported.

“It looks like Kanye West’s campaign made a smart move by hiring an experienced election lawyer,” said Alesha Guenther, spokeswoman for the Wisconsin state Republican Party. “We welcome Kanye West and all the other candidates who have qualified for access to the ballot in the race. “

Listen to GHOGH with Jamarlin Martin | Episode 73: Jamarlin martin Jamarlin explains why this is a multifactorial rebellion versus mere protests against George Floyd. He discusses the Democratic Party’s underhanded relationship with police in cities and states under Dem control, and why Joe Biden is a cop and the Steve Jobs of mass incarceration.

West made his first appearance in the presidential campaign July 19 in Charleston, SC. During his rally he collapsed and cried over the evils of abortion and falsely claimed that Harriet Tubman never helped slaves escape captivity. Shortly after his bizarre performance and a series of tweets, his wife, Kim Kardashian West, released a statement on West’s mental health issues (he was diagnosed with bipolar) and pleaded for understanding.

Some thought that would be the end of his candidacy, but it appears West, who announced his candidacy on July 4, has doubled down on his candidacy – now with a little help from his Republican friends.

Coincidentally or not, West has locked himself in his Wyoming ranch to work on his next album.
